Getting Started
Register a Restaurant
Visit pickolo.app/register to start the registration wizard. The process has five steps:
Step 1: Business Info
Fill in your company and business details. The form is divided into four sections:
- Company Details — Company Name, Tax ID (CUI), VAT Number, ONRC Registration Number
- Company Address — Street, City, County, Postal Code, Country, Phone
- Bank Account — Account Holder Name, IBAN, Bank Name
- Business Profile — Business Name (your restaurant's public name), Support Email, Support Phone
If you already have a restaurant registered on Pickolo, you can link this new location to your existing account instead (see Link Registration below).
Step 2: Stripe Verification
You will be redirected to Stripe to complete business verification and set up your payment method.
After completing Stripe onboarding, your verification status will update.
Step 3: Location
Enter your restaurant's physical address (street, house number, city, county, postal code) and fine-tune its position using the map pin. Set the GPS radius and select a location type (restaurant, cafe, bar, etc.).
Step 4: Packages
Choose a subscription package for your restaurant. If you have a promo code, you can apply it here.
Step 5: Confirmation
Review a summary of all your registration data. Provide an email address (and optionally a phone number) for claim code delivery. Accept the required legal agreements — Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, EULA, and Partner Terms — then complete registration.
Success
After registration, an 8-character claim code is sent to your email (and via SMS if you provided a phone number). You'll need this code to connect your restaurant to the mobile app.
Tip: Check your spam folder if you don't see the email. Keep your claim code safe.
Link Registration (Existing Pickolo Restaurant)
If you already have a restaurant on Pickolo, you can add a new location linked to your existing account. This reuses your company data (company name, tax ID, VAT, ONRC, address, bank account) and Stripe account — so you only fill in the business profile fields.
- In Step 1, select "Yes, link to existing"
- The form shows only the business profile fields (business name, support email/phone) — company details, address, and bank info are inherited from your existing restaurant
- Stripe Verification is skipped entirely
- Continue with Location → Packages → Confirmation as normal
- You receive the same 8-character claim code at the end
Connect Restaurant to Mobile App
After completing web registration, connect your restaurant to the Pickolo mobile app:
- Download Pickolo from the App Store or Google Play
- If you are currently logged in, log out first — you need to be on the scan screen
- On the scan screen, double-tap the person icon in the top corner to access the admin login
Important: A single tap opens regular user login. You must double-tap to access admin login.
- Log in with your admin account credentials
- From the lobby, tap "Register with Code"
- Enter the 8-character claim code from your email or SMS and submit
- Your restaurant appears in the lobby — you're connected!
Note: To add additional locations to an existing restaurant, use the "Link Restaurant" button instead.
First-Time Setup
After linking your restaurant, follow these steps to get ready:
- Set business hours — Go to Settings and configure your opening/closing times
- Build your menu — Create categories and add your products with prices
- Generate table QR codes — Add your tables and download their QR codes
- Start receiving orders — Place QR codes on tables and you're live!
Admin vs Waiter Roles
Pickolo has two staff roles with different access levels.
Admin sees all navigation items.
Waiter sees a limited set (no Dashboard, no Pickolo/AI settings).
Admins can manage staff from the Restaurant Info page. Waiters can manage orders, view the menu, handle payments, and track their tip statistics.
